CLS Civil Engineering have started work at Brumby Engineering College on a contract estimated to be £785,000.00. The works have been programmed in 3 Phases with a total duration of 39 weeks on site between 2009 - 2011.

This major school improvement project is being delivered as part of the £90m Building Schools for the Future programme for North Lincolnshire Council.  It includes both new-build elements, and major refurbishment of some of the existing buildings that vary in age from the 1920s to the present.

CLS Civil Engineering have secured the contract for laying 16,000m of high voltage cable network on the Immingham Docks from The West Gate Entrance to The Hit Terminal.

The works consist of upgrading the existing high voltage cable network running throughout the entire docks and road improvements along the cable network.

Works are planned to go on into early in the New Year with the estimated duration being 16 weeks amounting to a total value of £650,000.00.

CLS Civil Engineering have been carrying out continuous work for ABP over the past 10 months on the Exxtor Terminal. Phase 4 works are following on from previous resurfacing work at the terminal, which accommodated new RTG runways and created a storage area for empty containers around the perimeter of the main terminal.

Immingham is already the UK’s largest East Coast unit-load port, with over 50 roll-on/roll-off and container sailings per week to ports in northern Europe, the Baltic countries and Scandinavia. In addition, the port is now a regional centre for deep-sea container imports, enabling customers to avoid heavily congested road and rail networks in the south of England by trans-shipping deep-sea containers to Immingham on regular short-sea or feeder vessels.

CLS Civil Engineering have started Phase 1 construction of a New Car Park for The Grimsby Fish Market. The works consist of the alteration of existing below ground services, laying of new path edgings,pin kerbs and footpath, design and construction of surface water drainage system, and the laying of a stone sub base and surfacing works.

CLS Civil Engineering commence Phase 2 works at the new Mental Health unit on Peaks Lane, Grimsby that will see Adult Mental Health treatment and support services provided from modern, state of the art facilities.

The construction of four purpose built units will provide a new base for services that are currently provided on the site of the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital.  The new centre is being built by Interserve Project Services at a cost of fourteen million pounds and will be completed by December 2009.

The hospital, at Peaks Lane, will include two 10-bedroom community treatment units and a six-bedroom unit for patients with more severe needs, including conditions such as anorexia.
There will also be a two-storey community hub which will include a cafe, offices, a library and changing rooms for people using the nearby Ross Sports facilities.

Phase 1 of Fullhurst Community College has been completed and CLS Civil Engineering & Demolition have commenced on Phase 2.

Phase 2 will be completed for handover at the start of September 2009, with most of the demolition and civil engineering works scheduled to take place during the School holidays, significantly reducing the impact on education within the school. The existing village of mobile classrooms will also be removed over the summer holidays with the whole school located in the new buildings from the beginning of the Autumn term.

Advance work in the Summer of 2008 by CLS Civil Engineering, plus re-programming and acceleration of the construction works has resulted in CLS now forecasting on completing the works by September 2009 instead of the programmed June 2010 completion date.

Red & Greens sealed the third and final prize of a treble-winning season.

The Rasen side had to come from behind in a pulsating Lincolnshire Cup final beat rivals Grimsby 29-14 at Sleaford's David Williams Pavilion.

The victory was the third and final element of a season which had already seen Market Rasen & Louth captain Dean Hutchinson's side take the NLD Shield and the Midlands Four East (North) title.

Cup final rivals Grimsby, from a league higher than Market Rasen, were leading the clash 16-14 at half-time with Rasen needing to dig deep in the second period.
