Pallet Warehouse & Distribution Centre

Complete groundworks package for the construction of a 18,400m² (200,000sq.ft) pallet distribution centre involving site clearance, bulk earthworks, soil stabilisation, reinforced and mass concrete foundations, drainage package, storm interceptors and a new fuel tank facility.
Centrally located near junction 22 of the M1 motorway, the hub has a footprint of some 267,000 square feet. Its design prohibits vehicles from entering the interior, so maintaining an emission free environment for sensitive goods such as foodstuffs and electronic products.
Loading and unloading takes place under weatherproof canopies, protecting freight in the 42 easy access loading bays.
The specially levelled hub floor ensures that fragile goods do not suffer from vibration during transhipment. The hub regularly handles up to 10,000 pallets per night.
Exxtor Terminal Improvement Works

CLS Civil Engineering have recently completed Phase 2 of the Improvement Works for Associated British Ports on the Exxtor Terminal, Immingham Docks.
Phase 1 works were completed in December 2008 amounting to a contract value of £920,000.00. These works had a contract period of 12 weeks. Phase 2 works have now commenced onsite, these amounting to an additional £400,000.00 of work. The works are due to last 8 weeks on site.
The contract includes for demolition and removal of existing buildings, refurbishment of a single storey building to form a new stores facility, provision of bituminous pavements, provision of a ducting system, provision of additional drainage connections including gullies, design and construction of high mast lighting tower bases and the resurfacing of 36,000m2 of container storage areas.
